Wearing shoes (or rubber shoes) and socks for a long time can trigger nail fungus too since the fungus loves moist and warm environment. An infection of nail fungus takes place when fungi infect your nails. It can start off as a spot with whitish or yellowish color underneath the tip of your fingernail or toenail. As it develops, the nail will thicken and will become brittle. The fungus will also possibly spread from all over the body. The nails will also develop a foul smelling odor. The infected nail will eventually fall or shed off.

Nail fungus infection can be treated in many different ways such as home remedies, medical treatments and surgeries. There are many ways to treat nail fungus infection at home that are easy to find, cheap yet proven effective. You can choose any of the following:

1. Tea Tree oil – Tea tree oil is known to be a very effective antiseptic. Wash the area first and dry it very well before dabbing the tea tree oil. You can dab a few drops on the affected area to clean and disinfect the area. Leave for ten (10) to fifteen (15) minutes. Do this repeatedly for weeks.
